Bequest guide

If you're considering making a bequest to the Nelson Tasman Housing Trust, the wording below may provide a starting point. It is a guide only and we recommend you consult your solicitor. 

 “I give to Nelson Tasman Housing Trust (Registered Charity number CC21439), 329 Trafalgar Square East, Nelson 7010:

• the residue [ or % share of the residue ] of my estate absolutely
• the property at [ specify full address of property ]
• a fixed sum of $ _______
• my [ shares in XYZ company/ jewellery/ personal effects ]

and I direct that:

 (i) The proceeds may be used for the general purposes of Nelson Tasman Housing Trust (NTHT), and

 (ii) A receipt signed by a person authorised by the Board of NTHT shall be good and sufficient discharge to my executors.”
